Emirates has announced that it will further expand its Airbus A380 flights during the summer peak, in order to meet increased seasonal passenger demand.
The Gulf airline will start the first regularly scheduled A380 service from Dubai to Amman, Jordan. Between June 1st and October 26st, flight EK 903/904, which is one of Emirates’ three daily flights, will be operated by the airline’s flagship A380s.
After a historic one-off Airbus A380 flight to Amman in September 2016, the three daily Emirates flights between the two cities have been operated by Boeing 777 airplanes. Low-cost carrier FlyDubai and Royal Jordanian also operate flights between Dubai and Amman.
Emirates is the world’s largest operator of Airbus A380s, with over 100 of the aircraft currently in service. It is also the largest operator of the Boeing 777-300ER.
