Starting October 30, Garuda Indonesia will no longer serve its Jakarta – London Heathrow route.
According to the national airline of Indonesia, this is one of several internal adjustments to optimize its route network. Impacted passengers will be re-accommodated on the Jakarta-Amsterdam route or on other alternative flights.
Since winter season 2017/2018, Garuda Indonesia operates nonstop flights between Jakarta (CGK) and London Heathrow (LHR). The connection is served by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
In 2010, the airline resumed flights to Europe for the first time following its removal from the E.U. blacklist with flights between Jakarta and Amsterdam.
A few years later, in 2014, the airline became the 20th member of the SkyTeam alliance.
