SalamAir, a low-cost carrier from Oman that launched operations in January 2017, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. The airline’s first A320neo, registered as A4O-OVD, was originally built for Frontier Airlines in 2017. However, the airplane was not taken over due to a hydraulic issue causing damage to the airframe but was now ready for delivery to SalamAir.
In total, the low-cost airline ordered six A320neo during the Farnborough Air Show 2018 and currently operates a fleet of three A320ceo aircraft as an all-Airbus operator.
