Air Italy adds two new US destinations to its route network

Air Italy has announced two new routes to North America today. Therefore, the airline’s number of US destinations will grow from two to four.

Starting in April 2019, Air Italy will serve the Californian cities Los Angeles and San Francisco from its hub at Milan Malpensa Airport. Both routes will be operated four times a week.

With the launch of these two new exciting gateways in California, our network will be expanding significantly, providing even more fantastic options for our equally rapidly expanding customer base. In addition to the existing US routes to Miami and New York, the airline’s current intercontinental network consists of Bangkok, Mumbai and Delhi. The latter route will be launched on December 6th.

All long-haul services between Milan Malpensa and the USA, Thailand and India are being operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which were previously owned by Qatar Airways. The flag carrier of Qatar holds a 49% stake in Air Italy. Besides the A330s; Boeing 737 (both MAX and NG versions) and Boeing 767-300 airplanes are part of the airline’s fleet as well.
