Hungarian ultra-lowcost carrier Wizz Air ordered a further 75 Airbus A321neo from the European manufacturer Airbus.
The Indigo Partners subsidiary thus increases its orderbook with Airbus to 434 A321neo aircraft, some 80 of which have already been delivered to Wizz Air or its subsidiaries in Malta and Abu Dhabi. Neither Wizz Air nor Airbus specified a delivery timeline, but it is likely that some will be used as replacements of older aircraft.
The CEO of Wizz Air, József Váradi, said; “Today’s announcementfurther reinforces [Wizz Air‘s] position as the largest A321neo Family operator in Europe and the Middle East.” He further praised the efficiency of the A321neo and long-standing partnership with Airbus.
