Luxembourgish flag carrier Luxair and Boeing announced an order from the airline for four more Boeing 737 Max aircraft. Unlike the airline’s previous commitments though, these four aircraft will be of the smaller Max 7 variant, for which Luxair will be the European launch customer.
Luxair announced orders and lease agreements for four 737 Max 8 aircraft earlier this year and will take delivery of the first aircraft in the coming weeks. Its CEO Gilles Feith stated: “This type of aircraft is a perfect match for Luxair and will meet the requirements of the market. Seating 160 passengers, the 737-7 will offer flexibility across the Luxair destination network while significantly reducing fuel consumption.“
