Embraer and American Airlines have signed a firm order for 15 Embraer E175 jets on Monday.
The ordered aircraft will be delivered in 2020 and operated by American Airlines’ subsidiary Envoy Air, which feeds the airline’s route network under the American Eagle brand. The new E175 jets will be configured with a total of 76 seats, including 12 in First Class and 64 in Main Cabin.
Based on current list prices, the contract has a value of 705 million USD.
Combined with the airline’s previous orders for the E175, this new contract results in a total of 104 Embraer E175 jets for American Airlines. Most recently, in May 2018, the oneworld alliance member also ordered 15 aircraft for its subsidiary Envoy.
