Switzerland’s flag-carrier Swiss has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo.
The new aircraft is registered as HB-JPA. Traditionally, Swiss planes are being named after locations in Switzerland; this Airbus A321neo has been named after the village “Stoos” in the Swiss canton Schwyz. The name is featured on the aircraft’s fuselage.

About seven months ago, the carrier took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo jet. Right now, two A320neos are already part of the airline’s fleet. A further 15 A320neo and seven A321neo will complement the fleet in the future. The brand new 25 A320neo family aircraft will gradually replace Swiss’ existing fleet of older A320ceo and A321ceo jets.
Besides the A320 family jets, Swiss operates Airbus A220, as well as A330-300, A340-300 and Boeing 777-300ER on long-haul flights.
