Flag-carrier Croatia Airlines will become a new Airbus A220 operator. The Zagreb-based airline has ordered six Airbus A220 jets.
According to the latest Airbus orders and deliveries table from August 2022, Croatia Airlines also had an order for four Airbus A320neo jets that was signed in 2015. However, it is understood that the airline now converted this order to the Airbus A220 aircraft type instead of the A320neo airplanes. The new jets will have a capacity of 127 to 148 seats.
Croatia Airlines currently operates a fleet of Airbus A319, A320 and De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 aircraft. The new A220s will replace the complete existing fleet by 2026.
