Mauritanian flag carrier, Air Mauritius has announced its commitment to purchase three additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, increasing its fleet size to seven of the type.
The airline currently operates four A350-900s and three Airbus A330s (two A330-900 and a single A330-200). With the additional wide-body aircraft, Air Mauritius hopes to expand its operations in Europe and South Asia.
Except for three ATR 72s, Air Mauritius is an Airbus only operator, having previously also operated the Airbus A319, Boeing 767 and Boeing 747SP.
