German leisure airline Condor has presented a new livery and corporate design on Monday, 4th April.
The scheme features colourful vertical stripes painted on the entire aircraft, with the Condor titles now being in lowercase on the lower part of the fuselage. The historic Condor logo remains part of the design in multiple locations, such as the engines, winglets and next to the front door. However, it has been significantly reduced in size on the tail of the aircraft, fitted between two stripes.
Condor describes its new design as “inspired by parasols, bath towels and beach chairs“. A unique aspect of the new livery is the colour variation between aircraft. The airline has shown off five different colours, blue, green, yellow, red and beige. According to the company, around 80 percent of its fleet is set to be repainted into the new design by 2024, with six aircraft being completed by summer 2022.
Its previous livery design was inherited from its former owner British leisure group Thomas Cook, which ceased operations in 2019. Condor kept the overall design, but replaced the ‘sunny heart’ logo with its own logo. The carrier will soon receive its first of 16 Airbus A330-900neo, which will gradually replace the Boeing 767-300ER.
