Air Canada has announced that it will start several new non-stop international services in the coming months from its hubs in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Some of the newly presented flights will be operated by its subsidiary Air Canada Rouge.
Vancouver – Auckland
Air Canada announced the addition of a new seasonal flights between Vancouver and Auckland. The flights to Auckland will operate four times weekly onboard the carrier’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft between December 12, 2019, and the end of March 2020, subject to obtaining the necessary government approvals.
The Canadian airline has also finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Star Alliance partner Air New Zealand to strategically co-operate in the form of a Joint Venture.
Montreal – São Paulo
Beginning in winter 2019, Canada’s flag-carrier will start a new route from Montreal to Sao Paulo, providing the only non-stop flights between the two cities. Moreover, São Paulo is the twelfth new international destination added by Air Canada from Montreal-Trudeau Airport since 2017. The three times weekly service will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner airplanes.
In addition, Air Canada currently operates a daily service from Toronto to the city in Brazil.
Toronto – Quito
Starting in December 2019, Air Canada Rouge will start a new service between Toronto and Quito on a seasonal basis. The route will be operated three times per week by the airline’s Boeing 767-300ER aircraft that are are equipped with 282 seats.
