Air Corsica has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. The airline becomes the first A320neo operator from France.

The carrier’s first A320neo is registered as F-HXKB and leased through an agreement with ICBC Leasing from China. It has a total of two A320neo on order with the leasing company. The aircraft is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines and configured in a single-class cabin layout for a total of 186 passengers.

Air Corsica currently has six Airbus A320ceo jets in its fleet. The new A320neo aircraft will replace older A320ceo jets. In addition to the A320s, Air Corsica operates ATR 72 turboprop aircraft.

The A320neo will be deployed on the airline’s domestic flights from its main base at Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport on the island of Corsica, as well as from/to other French airports to European destinations.
