Flynas, a low-cost airline from Saudi Arabia, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. The airline is the first operator in the country to receive an A320neo.
The brand new aircraft, registered as HZ-NS22, is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines.
The airline signed an agreement for 80 A320neo Family airplanes in January 2017. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2018 to 2026. Furthermore, the agreement includes purchase rights for additional 40 airframes.
In 2007, the airline commenced operations as Saudi Arabia’s first low-cost carrier and currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of A320 and two A319 aircraft. Flynas carried more than 6.4 million passengers in 2017.
