Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, will add the Airbus A380 aircraft on one of its two daily services between Doha (DOH) and Frankfurt (FRA) from 31 March 2019. The route is currently operated by Boeing 777-300ER.
The deployment of the A380 will increase the daily capacity on the Doha to Frankfurt route by 23 per cent, the airline states. The second daily flight will still be operated by Boeing 777s.
Qatar Airways’ rival airline Emirates recently added the Airbus A380 to its Hamburg-Dubai service. Emirates is now serving all four of its German destinations with the super-jumbo.
