During the second day of the 2023 Paris Airshow, Boeing announced that Air Algérie has firmed up an order for eight Boeing 737 Max 9s and issued a memorandum of understanding for two Boeing 737 BCFs (Boeing Converted Freighters).
Earlier in June, Air Algérie placed an order with competing manufacturer, Airbus, for seven wide-body aircraft.
Air Algérie currently operates a fleet of 30 Boeing 737 NG aircraft, consisting of 24 -800 variants, four -600s and two -700s. It also operates 12 ATR 72 regional turboprops and eight Airbus A330-200s.
