Swiss carrier Helvetic Airways has taken delivery of its first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The largest version of the Embraer E2 family complements the airline’s existing all-Embraer fleet, including the E190-E2 that was first introduced in October 2019. Compared to the E190-E2, the E195-E2 has a slightly longer cabin and features 134 seats instead of 110.
In total, Helvetic will receive four Embraer E195-E2 jets. The remaining three E195-E2s will be delivered by the end of next month. Last year, the airline announced an order conversion in favour of the E195-E2. Furthermore, the airline holds purchase rights for an additional 12 aircraft.
In its current fleet, Helvetic operates both first- and second-generation E-Jet aircraft. When the three remaining E195-E2s are delivered, the carrier’s fleet will consist of 16 Embraer aircraft that are deployed across its European network.
