Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has become the first company to sign a commitment for Airbus’ newly launched A350F. At Dubai Air Show 2019, the European aircraft manufacturer is for the first time offering a freighter version of its latest generation long-haul jet.
Los Angeles-based ALC signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a total of 111 Airbus aircraft, with seven of those being for the A350F. The announcement also includes 25 Airbus A220-300, 55 A321neo, 20 A321XLR and four A330neo wide-body planes.
It was not immediately clear which airline customers the jets could end up being delivered to by the aerospace leasing company. ALC’s current portfolio includes more than 450 total aircraft, in service with various customers in at least 59 countries, according to the company.
On Sunday, 14th November, Airbus already gained a massive new order from US-based investment company Indigo Partners, which signed for 255 A321neo. These planes will be delivered to its four low-cost airline subsidiaries Wizz Air, Frontier, Volaris and JetSmart.
