Cebu Pacific and aircraft manufacturer Airbus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Paris Air Show 2019. The agreement consists of an order of ten brand new Airbus A321XLR, which is a further extended range version of the A321neo aircraft. The newly developed A321XLR was announced at the first day of the Paris Air Show 2019. Furthermore, the agreement between the two parties includes the order of sixteen Airbus A330-900neo and five A320neo aircraft.
The A330neo aircraft will feature a high-capacity layout in a single-class configuration. The aircraft will be equipped with 460 seats, whereas the A320neo will feature 194 seats. The A330-900neo widebody aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2021 and will enable the airline to further expand its Asia-Pacific network.
Cebu Pacific currently runs a fleet of Airbus A320, A320neo, A321 (also both ceo and neo version) and A330-300 aircraft. Its first Airbus A321neo was delivered to the airline in January this year. Additionally, its subsidiary Cebgo operates ATR 72 turboprop aircraft on flights to several domestic destinations.
