EVA Air has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and joins the growing list of Boeing 787-10 operators.
The brand new aircraft is the first of 20 new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners that will be added to EVA Air’s existing fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner jets.
The airline plans to use the 787-10 on high-density routes within Asia later this summer. EVA Air’s new Boeing aircraft features a two-class configuration for 342 total passengers, 38 more seats than on its 787-9 Dreamliner.
So far, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft has been delivered to launch customer Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways, United Airlines, All Nippon Airways – and now EVA Air. In addition to the Boeing 787, the Taiwanese carrier operates the Boeing 777-300ER, as well as Airbus A321 and A330 aircraft. EVA Air Cargo conducts freighter operations with a fleet of Boeing 777 cargo planes.
